Americare Hires 25-Year Industry Veteran Bridget Gallagher
Announcement Comes After Medicare’s Home Health Compare National Ranking Gave Americare 4.5 Stars, Well Above The 3-Star NYS & National Average
NEW YORK – On the heels of a recently released Medicare report ranking Americare Companies as the top home care agency in New York City for the quality of patient care, the company is announcing today the hiring of a new Vice President, Bridget Gallagher. A health care industry veteran of nearly 25 years, Gallagher will be leading the Americare Companies’ day-to-day operations for its licensed home care services agency and other key projects.
Gallagher will be spearheading multiple innovative initiatives that Americare is working on to continue assisting the State in its efforts to provide high-quality, cost efficient care. She comes to Americare from Jewish Home Lifecare, where she was a top executive since 1990. Gallagher also currently serves on the board of the NYS Home Care Association.

Medicare’s Home Health Compare uses a quality of patient care star rating to show consumers how the performance of a home health agency compares to other agencies. Agencies get a rating from 1 to 5 stars, with 1 being the lowest score and 5 representing the highest performance. Agencies get more stars when they follow recommended care practices for more patients, and when more of their patients show improvement. Americare’s 4.5 star rating was the highest statewide and in New York City.
